What Does a Dream of a Green Snake Mean?
Here are several meanings to help interpret your dream about a green snake.
Dream Meaning #1: Green snakes as symbols for personal growth
Because the color of the snake is green, the dream suggests that a transformation is occurring in your life quite organically, naturally, just like when plants grow on their own. Perhaps you are discovering new aspects of yourself or nurturing a relationship or project. To dream of a green snake indicates that you’re undergoing personal growth and inner transformation.
Depending on the shade of the colored snake, you can find additional meanings regarding the quality and characteristics of your personal development.
Dream Meaning #2: Connecting with your true self
Green snakes are strongly associated with nature and the earth. What in you is moved by the presence of this snake in your dream? How does the creature or the dream relate to an earthy, natural part of you that is in the process of emerging?
As green symbolizes what’s natural, earthy, a dream about a green snake may mean that you are reconnecting with more grounded qualities in yourself. At least, it’s a call to pay more attention to what helps you ground and find enough energy to support you in living and expressing what’s true to you and in you.
Dreaming Meaning #3: Symbolic representation of new beginnings and positive change
The color green may point to some aspects of yourself or a project in your life that is not “ripe” yet; in other words, you are dealing with just the beginnings. Green on a snake is about the come back of the energy of positive change in your life. Depending on how the snake behaves in your dream, it could reflect how you are embracing or coping with the change: Are you experiencing it as aggression, threat, death of old patterns? Or are you at peace with this evolution?
The green snake in your dream is then likely a call to take care of an opportunity for growth that you may otherwise be missing. It could indicate the need to nurture a bit more something that is just starting to emerge in your life, whether it’s new habits, a relationship or personal project.
Dream Meaning #4: Shades of green snakes and their meanings
The shade of the colored snake will tell more about the meanings conveyed in the dream. Darker greens generally have negative connotations associated with jealousy, perhaps deceit. Lighter shades of green express opening up to healing, opportunity for growth. A balanced, healthy green suggests strength in your personal growth, steadiness and determination. It could also be a symbol for serenity, calm.
Even though green is archetypally associated with nature, healing, and growth, your interpretation will benefit from looking within yourself to find out what green means to you personally. In addition, consider the behavior of the snake in the dream. It may give clues about how you are experiencing some changes that are occurring in your daily life.

Dreamt about a small, thin, light-green snake with a small, brown patch on it’s back, slithering through dry grass. I was not afraid of it.

I am preganant and dreamt that i was biten by a small green snake.
I am pregnant and was biten by a green small snake.
I had this dream last night (February 15, 2013), The location was on our currently being rented house. What happened is, when I pass by our dinning table I saw it on top between plates of foods, I was so scared that I an to our toilet, I was screaming, and then there was a guy standing near our table, I kept screaming and asking him to put it away. I saw him place the snake on his pocket, but as I was peeking via the toilet door, I saw the snake emerge from his pocket and it somewhat got its fangs stuck on the shorts/pants. I closed the door and the guy left.
Then when I went back to wards my bed (I stay on a studio type apartment, that’s why everything is so close) I turned my back and I saw the snake crawling towards it, I hurriedly jump on to the next bed, holding the hook on the upper shelf as to make sure I don’t fall. I kept screaming. Then I was hyperventilating.
Then I woke up after that, if anything happens to my body, I always make sure to wake up — I was worried I might get a heart attack due to sever hyperventilation. (I can easily wake up from bad dreams — most of the times)
I’m not sure on what color the snake is, I’m thinking due to lighting, it was Dark Green to Healthy Green. (Definitely not a lighter shade)
my dream was also almost same.. i was playing some games with my nephews and suddenly a green coloured snake appeared on my front gate.. i saw it and i closed my front door and then i went inside to find something to scare the snake away. when i came back i saw the snake on my window. i rushed to the window and pushed my nephew but the snake b him on the head.n
can anybody tell me what does my dream means? i don’t have a clue.
I was standing (cramped for room) in a backyard of a house, but between a dark green fence & gate, with my sister, daughter & other family members & friends standing within the fence too. I saw a bright (lime green) snake on the ground and it was about to attack someone, so I saved them from it. This kept happening with each person.. I’d grab or push them out of the way of the snake, until they were secure and safe. All of a sudden the snake flared up at me and started trying to attack me.. so I kept moving to different corners of the fence, or running out the gate, but was back within a fenced area, where the snake would go under and chase me, no matter where I was. I looked around hoping for help.. but every single person just stood there, still, and not caring to help me.. I had to leap over ppl and around them, because they wouldn’t move. The snake kept coming.. hissing and going to snap at me.. it felt like I just couldn’t seem to get away from it trying to attack me, I started getting upset not one single person tried helping or saving me.. they were all selfishly just standing dead still so themselves wouldn’t get attacked. Just as I coulen’t get away and it was closing in on me within a corner of the fence.. I woke up. It left me feeling annoyed and angry with everyone in my life (and like real life.. it felt kind of the same). So I am assuming the dream represented my feelings toward my so-called family & friends.. selfishly never caring and always taking, or creating more difficulty in my life, through their doings or fakeness. I’m also unwell in rl and get zero help, with anything.. and starting to feel the struggle (even with normal things like chores etc.) have been diagnosed with a few physical ailments that knock me on my a**, but still not one person ever turns around to offer some kind of help with anything. Actually, 37 years of life and not one single soul has ever helped, me. Quite the opposite. Anyway, whinging aside.. I was hoping I’m wrong in what I make of it & that the green snake could possibly represent something else. At first in the dream when I saw it, the beautiful green (my fav colour) I felt the sense of luck, money coming my way, etc. but then when it started trying to attack it felt fearful, I feared for everyone else and had to help them. But then when the same wasn’t returned.. it left me feeling very alone. Especially with my own daughter not caring, too. Maybe it represents a battle within myself?.. I have stopped helping people with things, but due to all the backstabbing and harm most have caused me in my life.. i’ve become somewhat of a hermit & just avoding even socialising or caring to see anyone. I’m turning into THEM!! And THAT it my worst fear!! But at the same time.. I’d die before I put up with any more crap from someone. lol.. as you can see, the dream has left me feeling & thinking all over the place. It was quite intense, like I was actually there.
Wow Andrea, that is absolutely mind boggling that your dream was similar to mine as are the feelings I’m harboring. In my dream, I was in the kitchen, the brilliant, earth green snake was on the floor, slithering around my feet. I was calling out to my mother yet I couldn’t yell loud enough for her to hear me. I don’t recall anyone else in the dream yet there was a voice telling me not to be afraid. I almost want to ask you when your birthday is, as I am an Aquarius, who feels that my kindness has been taken advantage of by every single person in this world except my mother & maybe my father & brother. I have a huge heart, I love to help and never ask for anything in return. The one time I did, I was disappointed to see the favors go unreciprocated. Now, I refuse to open my heart and help other’s the way I used to although it was a constant inner battle because I never want to let people’s actions change me, yet I can not stand the thought of the resentment I feel when I am treated other than I believe I deserve. Once a social person, I find that I am more of a recluse now, choosing to stay home rather than socialize with others. I too find most of my “friends” to be selfish, self-serving and phony. I just came back from vacation after not being able to travel the way I am used to, thanks to being there for every and everyone-and upon returning, decided that I would never neglect myself like that again, as I realized I need the sun, sand and water frequently throughout the year. I am finally at a place in my life where I am accepting myself for my feelings, and forgiving myself for being so “stupid” for always wanting to help. And now I am able to move forward and focus on me, what I want, and what I deserve. Professionally things have been looking up for me and I am at a crossroads and feeling quite frightened. Between your dream and this interpretation I am completely speechless yet renewed in the sense that I am on the right path. Because of your post, I will be careful about becoming the people that we despise so much…May the force be with you…
